David Flowers

Mr. David Stephen Flowers, age 65 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on November 14, 2015, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. Funeral services for Mr. Flowers will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Rutherford with Billy Hanks and Dave Chaffin officiating. Burial will be in the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Rutherford. Mr. Flowers was born April 10, 1950 in Dyer, Tennessee; the son of Eleanor Reagor Flowers and the late Jearold Flowers. Mr. Flowers was farmer and land owner, and he was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church. Mr. Flowers is survived by his wife, Carolyn Flowers; his son Jearod Flowers and wife Sylvanna; one granddaughter, Olivia Flowers; his mother, Eleanor Flowers; one sister, Janice Sims and husband Harold; two brothers, Kenny Flowers and wife Connie; Barry Flowers and wife Tammy; one brother-in-law, Ronnie Ross, and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Flowers was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucy Flowers; grandson, Lucas Flowers; sister, Lesa Ross, and father, Jearold Flowers. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, Gibson County High School FFA or Peabody High School FFA. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, November 16. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. David Stephen Flowers.
