Darlene Owens

Mrs. Susan Darlene Owens, age 67 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at NHC Healthcare Milan. Funeral services for Mrs. Owens will be conducted on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 11:00 am in the chapel of New Hope Baptist Church with Bro. James Adams and Bro. Brian Morris officiating. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery.

Darlene was born May 4, 1953 in Union City, TN; the daughter of the late Susan Ashworth Campbell (James Damon Campbell), and Jimmy Stansberry. She was secretary for Obion County Board of Education, and member of New Hope Baptist Church.  

She is survived by her loving husband, Terry Joe Owens; two children, Bradley Owens (Alicia), Brian Owens (Alisha); two brothers, Joseph Stansberry and Eric Stansberry; and four grandchildren, Ava Owens, Brock Owens, Avery Owens, and Brady Owens.  She was preceded in death by her mother; and brother, Terry Wayne Stansberry.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at New Hope Baptist Church.  Masks and social distancing are requested as per the CDC mandates required.  Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Susan Darlene Owens.
