Dan Carlos McBeth, age 85 of Collierville, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at home. Funeral services for Mr. McBeth will be conducted on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 1:00pm in the chapel of Dyer First Baptist Church with Bro. Lane Self officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, in Dyer.
He was born December 25, 1936, in Rotan, TX; the son of the late Elmo & Agnes Booker McBeth. He was an attorney at law for 25+ years before his retirement. He participated in many organizations, to include Gibson County Bar Association, Juvenile Court Referee, Southern Baptist Convention Representative & Board Member. He also was involved in the West Tennessee Pilot Association, clock repair services, beekeeper, free Mason, master gardener, Deacon at 1st Baptist Spiritual, Sunday school teacher, bible study leader, and counselor. He was a member of Dyer First Baptist Church. He served his country with the US Navy as Lt. Commander. Military honors will be observed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia McBeth; children, Cynthia, Dan, Lisa; step-children, Will, Pam, Steve; brother, John Robert McBeth of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Ann, Parker, Joseph, Daniel, Alexandra, Tyler; step-grandchildren, Amanda, Rebecca, Daniel, Kimmie, Alex; great-great children, Quinlan, Charlotte, Hope, Lennon, Harrison, Liam, Levi, Ada; step-great children, Aiden, and Tristan. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bessie McBeth.
Pallbearers are Bernard, Michael, Parker, Joseph, Daniel, and Tyler.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, or Baptist Missions at Dyer First Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am – 1:00pm on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Dyer First Baptist Church. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Dan Carlos McBeth.
