Chester Summers

Mr. Chester Adrian "Pete" Summers, age 89, of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Gibson General Hospital in Trenton, Tennessee. Funeral services for Mr. Summers will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Dyer, with Bro. Don Barnett officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery in Dyer. Visitation for Mr. Summers will be held Friday, October 26, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Dyer. Mr. Summers is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eula Mae Summers; daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Summers; three grandchildren, Melanie Summers Patterson, Jonathan Summers, and Dana Summers Powell; and ten great-grandchildren,one brother Jerry Summers Mr. Summers was a retired employee of Brown Shoe Co. and an avid gardener and tomato grower. He was member of the Dyer First United Methodist Church, and a WWII Army Veteran. Mr. Summers was preceded in death by his parents, Shelton and Wylodene Summers; and one son, David Summers.
