Charles Wayne Roberts

Charles Wayne Roberts, age 68 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Monday, July 18, 2022, at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Roberts will be conducted on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 2:00pm in the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Marlon Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in New Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, in Kenton.

He was born April 3, 1954, in Union City, TN; the son of the late Lawrence Howard & Mary Finch Roberts. Charlie was the fifth child of Lawrence & Mary Roberts and grew up in St. Louis after his father got out of the Navy. Charlie worked for General Motors in St. Louis for 30 years before retiring and attended New Concord Baptist Church. He loved to hunt and fish and knew many people. He served his country with the US Marine Corps.  

He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Roberts; three children, Marc Roberts, Amy Roberts, Kimberly Roberts; and one sister, Sue Fain. He was preceded in death by siblings, Wanda Cottrell, Larry David Roberts, and Katherine Roberts.

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm – 2:00pm on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Charles Wayne Roberts.
