Catherine Porter

Mrs. Catherine Cash Porter was born January 28, 1917, the daughter of the late Homer Daniel Cash and Vervie Ree Cook Cash of Alamo Tennessee. Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by her husband Erie Porter and their son, Larry Porter; her brother Melvin Cash of Alamo Tennessee, and her sister; Evelyn Beard of Rutherford Tennessee. Mrs. Porter is survived by two granddaughters, Penny Porter and Ashley McLoughlin of Florida and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Porter passed away from this life on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at the Dyer Nursing Home at the age of 97. Mrs. Porter was formerly a resident of Olive Branch, MS. and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Olive Branch. Mrs. Porter was retired from Pryor Automobile Dealership in Memphis where she was an office manager. Mrs. Porter attended the Memphis Academy of Arts and be remembered for her love of sculpture and painting. Graveside services will be held for Mrs. Porter on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Memory Hills Gardens at 3700 Germantown Road North in Memphis, Tennessee. Visitation for Mrs. Porter will be held on Monday, December 29 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Rutherford, Tennessee.
