Carolyn Booth Covington

Mrs. Carolyn Booth Covington, age 91 of, Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Dyer Nursing Home. Graveside services for Mrs. Covington will be conducted on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at 1PM in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Brent Petty officiating. Interment will immediately follow. 

Carolyn was born February 6, 1933, in Haywood County, TN; the daughter of the late Doris & Iva (Campbell) Booth. She retired from the Obion County School District after many years of teaching and counseling. Mrs. Covington was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her daughter, Cathy (Johnny) Cavender; son, Ken Covington; sister, Jean Climer; four grandchildren, Chris Cavender, Curt Cavender, Tabitha Lecornu, KC Covington; five great-grandchildren, Lauren Bridges, Alexis Cavender, Micah Cavender, Caden Lecornu, Charlie Ann Cavender, Angel Brook Willitt; and two great-great grandchildren, Angel Cavender, and Kolby Blu Cavender. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Covington. 

The family will receive friends from 11AM-1PM on Thursday, December 26, 2024, in the chapel of New Salem Baptist Church. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Carolyn Booth Covington.
