Mrs. Brownie Christine Black, age 88 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Trenton Health Care and Rehab Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Black will be conducted on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 12:00pm in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Dyer with Bro. Tony Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Bobbitt Cemetery, in Dyer, Tennessee.
Mrs. Black was born January 27, 1929 in Gibson County, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Fay John and Elsie Pope King. She was a housewife and homemaker, and member of the Dyer Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Black is survived by four daughters, Charlotte Halford, Deborah Key, Loretta Baker, Elese Woollen; one brother, J.W. King; and three sisters Betty Breckeen, Wanda Farrah, and Linda Lancaster; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Segal Black; her son, Kendall Fay Black; her parents, Fay John and Elsie King; two brothers, James Marion King, and Marvin Fay King.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home.
