Bobby Dewane Bates June 3, 1931-May 24, 2015 Bobby Dewane Bates, age 83 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on May 24, 2015, at Jackson General Hospital. Graveside services for Bobby will be conducted 11 am on May 26 at Oakwood Cemetery. He was born June 3, 1931 in Gibson County, TN; the son of the late Nicholas O. and Gladys Kelly Bates. He was employed by Bell South. He served his country with the U S Military. He is survived by his niece Cindy Bates Prescott and nephew Rick Bates. He was preceded in death by his parents Nicholas O and Gladys Kelly Bates and brother Ralph N. Bates. The family will receive friends from 5 pm till 8 pm on Monday, May, 25, 2015 at Karnes & Son Funeral Home, Dyer, TN. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Bobby Bates.
