Mrs. Bobbie Jean Dillard, age 74, went to be with her Lord on July 23, 2013, at the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born to Ruby and Walter Buchanan July 25, 1938.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Ruby and Walker Buchanan, two husbands, Bassell W. Grady and Royce Dillard and a great-grandson, Garrett Shawn Simpson.
She loved her kids, grand-kids, and great-grandkids. She loved cooking, sitting in the porch swing, looking at her flowers, and drinking her sweet tea. She also loved to dance.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dillard will be conducted on Friday, July 26, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Rutherford with Bro. Marlon Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Bells Chapel Cemetery of Rutherford.
Mrs. Dillard is survived by her daughters, Donna Berry and husband Greg of Kentucky, Betty Stahl and husband Sam of Arkansas, ; her son, William Edward Grady of Tennessee; longtime friend, David Bell; sisters, Alma Summers of Kentucky, Geneva Ward of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; and grandchildren, Terry Simpson, Jr. of Arkansas, Heather and Kenny Forbs of Arkansas, Meagan and Josh Davidson of Rutherford, and Monica Gene and Chad Haynes of Humboldt, Makayla Simpson of Arkansas, and Angel Stahl of Arkansas; also great-grand children, Caylee and Madaylnn Davidson.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 25. Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Rutherford is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Bobbie Jean Buchanan Dillard.
