Billy Simpson

Billy Mack Simpson, age 91 of Jackson, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at TN State Veterans Home. Funeral services for Mr. Simpson will be conducted on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 1PM in the sanctuary of Forest Heights United Methodist Church (Jackson, TN) with Reverend Drew Brewer officiating. Interment will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery, in Jackson.

Billy was born December 12, 1932, in Parkers Crossroads, TN; the son of the late Kermit Roosevelt "Mack" & Jenice (Kennedy) Simpson. He retired as a field engineer with NCR and was a member of Forest Heights United Methodist Church. He served his country with the US Army.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dorthula 'Dot' Simpson; two children, Leanne Montgomery, David Simpson (Carla); five grandchildren, Nathan Montgomery (Erica), Sam Montgomery (Erin), Noah Montgomery (Autumn), Nick Simpson, Zach Simpson; and two great-grandchildren, Gray Montgomery, and Reagan Montgomery. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends from 11AM-1PM on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Forest Heights United Methodist Church. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Billy Mack Simpson.
