Betty Halliburton

Mrs. Betty Marie Halliburton, age 84 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on February 7, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East Memphis. Graveside services for Mrs. Halliburton will be conducted on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Rutherford Cemetery with Bro. Charlie Halliburton and Bro. Michael Julian officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford Cemetery, in Rutherford. She was born July 23, 1932 in Gibson County, TN; the daughter of the late Arthur “Jack” Russell and Mamie Wallace Barnes Freeman. She was self-employed at Halliburton Lamp Co. She is survived by three children, Vicki Simpson (Harry), Betty Petraitis (David), and David Halliburton (Denise); siblings, Joe Freeman (Jean), and Maggie Sanders; five grandchildren, Nikki Whitwell (JJ), Holly Simpson, Matthew Petraitis (Jennifer), Mitchell Petraitis, and Darcie Halliburton; and six great grandchildren, Hallie McCurdy, Brantley Whitwell, Hayden McGuire, Cali Whitwell, Maddox Petraitis, and Kate Petraitis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur “Jack” Russell and Mamie Wallace Barnes Freeman; husband, David Henry Halliburton Jr.; and siblings, James Freeman, and Nell Cooper.
