Bernice Witherington

Mrs. Bernice Lee Eddlemon Witherington, age 96 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at her home with her loving family around her. Funeral services for Mrs. Witherington will be conducted on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Rutherford with Bro. Jason Bogardus officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford Cemetery in Rutherford Tennessee. Mrs. Witherington was born August 10, 1921 in Mason Hall, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Faytie and Maggie Gabel Eddlemon. She was housewife and homemaker along with loving mother. She is survived by two children, Sue Ellen Moore, and Daniel (Danny) Witherington and wife Rosemary, three grandchildren, Mixon Moore, Landy Moore, and Jessamy Moore, and two sisters Benthol Zierman, and Ann Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband James Witherington, her parents, and six brothers Frankie Eddlemon, Leonard Eddlemon, Parker Eddlemon, Archie Eddlemon, Flenoy Eddlemon, Edgar Eddlemon, and two sisters Nettie Caton, Carmye Eddlemon. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 on Friday, January 19, 2018 in the chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Rutherford.
