Ava Frances Gates

Ms. Ava Frances Gates, age 101 and 9 months of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Milan General Hospital. Graveside services for Ms. Gates will be conducted on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 11:00AM at the Yorkville Cemetery with Bro. Marlon Stephens officiating.

She was born November 12, 1920, in Dyer, TN; the daughter of the late Frank and Minnie Robinson Couch. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Gates, and Jerry Gates; grandchildren, Teresa Lock, and Cody Carlton; and great grandchildren, Autumn Lock, Caden Carlton, and Olivia Carlton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glynn Gates; her parents; sisters, Dorothy Taylor, and Imogene Newmon; and brothers, Billy Couch, and Everett Couch.

The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:00AM on Tuesday, August 16, at the Yorkville Cemetery. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Ms. Ava Frances Gates.
