Asa Hancock

Mr. Asa Lee Hancock Sr. passed away from this life on Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Mr. Hancock was a Retired River Boat Captain for Continental Grain Company. He was also a loving husband and father. Mr. Hancock was born February 28, 1933, in Tupelo, Mississippi, to the late Eleck and Rennie Hancock. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Culp Hancock; one son, Asa Lee Hancock Jr.; and one daughter, Jenny Hancock; one step-son, Barry Jones; two brothers, Troy Hancock and Roy Hancock; five grandchildren, Megan Jones, Kevin Boyd, Brandon Hancock, Abby Kowan, Holly Hancock, and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Ann Hancock. Mr. Hancock will have a cremation service with a private family viewing.
