Annie Faye Cooper, age 84, of Mason Hall passed away peacefully at her home on June 7, 2023. Faye was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. Faye loved the Lord and served diligently as a Sunday School teacher for many years at her home church, First Baptist Church of Kenton. Her love for her community was seen through her work in special education as a teachers’ assistant at Lake Road Elementary School in Obion County for nearly 20 years.
When asked, Faye would say that her children, grand, and great grandchildren were her greatest accomplishments in life and Nanny was her favorite title. Faye showed her love to those around her by ensuring no one ever left her house with an empty stomach. From family suppers to potlucks at church or sack lunches brought to the field, Nanny always lead with a servant heart. Faye enjoyed spending her afternoons in her rocking chair on the back porch watching the hummingbirds swarm the feeder that Junior kept full for her to enjoy.
Faye is survived by her husband of 62 years -- Junior Cooper; three sons and daughters-in-law --Joey and Paula Cooper, Mark and Rita Cooper, Chris and Melinda Cooper; eight grandchildren and their spouses -- Amanda and BJ Dawkins, Shannon and CJ Williams, Sage and Alyson Cooper, Cherish and Drew Cannon, Noah and Ashleigh Cooper, Keaton and Drake McGuire, Ali Beth Cooper, and Trent Cooper; nine great grandchildren -- Logan and Camden Dawkins, SarahJane Williams, Graham and Greer Cooper, Ainsley and Cade Cannon, Remington Cooper, and Fields McGuire.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Tommie Lee and Martha Petty and ten siblings – Amelia Petty, Grady Petty, James Petty, Harvelle Petty, Lloyd Petty, Pauline Scott, Roy Petty, Sally Ohlman, Suddie Cartee, and Donnie Petty.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Faye to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
