Alice Raines

Mrs. Alice Montez Bone Raines, age 93 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away on September 6, 2017, at her home. Funeral services for Mrs. Raines will be conducted on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Dyer, with Bro. Tony Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Dyer, Tennessee. Mrs. Raines was born October 15, 1923 in Little Rock Arkansas; the daughter of the late Terrence and Mallidine Halliburton Bone. Mrs. Raines was an Accounting Clerk for Kellwood Clothing Manufacturing Company for 33 years. She was a member of the Dyer Cumberland Presbyterian Church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher, and a member of the Church Choir. Mrs. Raines is survived by her three children, David Raines, Jeannie Ward, and Richard Raines; one brother Joe Bone; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Venice Raines; her parents, Terrence and Mallidine Bone; and two brothers, Ralph Bone and Hugh David Bone. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm – 8:00pm on Friday, September 8, 2017 in the chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Dyer.
