Aaron Goad

Mr. Aaron Wayne Goad, age 85, of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on May 19, 2012. Funeral services for Mr. Goad will be conducted on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Dyer with Bro. Daymond Duck and Joey Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery of Dyer. Mr. Goad was born January 20, 1927 in Dyer; the son of the late Lonnie and Lillie Pigue Goad. He was a superintendant at Brown Shoe Company with 41 years of service. He served his country with the US Military. Mr. Goad is survived by his spouse, Joyce Belton Goad; two sons, Tim Goad, Tony Goad and wife Deborah; one step-daughter, Vicki Stover of Newbern; one grandson, Shaun Goad and wife Amy; and three great-grandsons, Ethan, Isaac, and Eli Goad. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Sue Swearingen, a brother, Don Goad, and a great-grandson, Elijah Goad. Pall bearers will be Bill Pigue, Jerry Tucker, Bob Parker, Bob McCurdy, Doug Duncan, and Bobby Joe Goad. Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan, Isaac, and Eli Goad, Horace Paschall, and Marvin Ramey. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, May 21. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Aaron Wayne Goad.
